Finally.
The Canadian government is thinking of imposing 100% tariffs on a wide range of US goods – up to 5 billion dollars worth. This is far, far above Canada’s right to do so, but who cares? The US government has been stringing the Canadian people along, launching spurious challenge after spurious challenge concerning the wheat board and lumber.
It’s time Canadians started to stand up a little.
I love how the US trade representative stated that they were committed to complying with the WTO rulings. Furthermore they pointed out that Canada doesn’t have the right to levy such major fines. Tit for tat my friends. Now you can explain to Northen US citizens exactly why they can’t sell their products here.
