One’s mind wanders when there’s a power outage. A few moments after opening Ray K. Metzker’s book “Light Lines” (Get it!) I started taking pictures of pieces of his photos. I didn’t have anything in mind – it was just getting dark, and hard to see, and I was playing around. But after I made the base photograph of 2009/04/24 01 (above), I imagined a very different interpretation for it.
